Alyssa Wagner PT, DPT, SFMA-C, Cert. FDN

Alyssa Wagner PT, DPT received her Bachelor’s in Exercise Science from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. She then pursued her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from University of New England in Portland, Maine and graduated in 2016.
Alyssa grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico as a competitive soccer player where her passion for physical therapy and injury prevention has grown. Alyssa enjoys physical therapy because it combines her love for helping people with her value for an active lifestyle. She finds joy working with others to help them return to pain free function, whether it’s an ultra-marathoner or a new mom.
Alyssa has spent the last 5 years in the outpatient orthopedic environment working with pre and post-operative care, injury prevention, and sports medicine. She has received certification for running gait analysis to treat running related injuries, improve running form and maximize efficiency. Additionally, Alyssa utilizes functional movement, breathing mechanics, manual therapy, dry needling, and graded exercise prescription with all her patients to unlock their optimal performance and potential.
She has chosen to advance her learning to meet the pressing need of women’s health physical therapy in the community. She received her Pelvic Health Level 1 certification through the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, as well as courses to specialize in pregnancy and postpartum rehabilitation.
Outside of work you can find Alyssa hiking, camping, running and taking advantage of all Colorado has to offer with her husband and young son.
