Sam Kushner PT, DPT
Dr. Samuel Kushner earned his Bachelor degree in Exercise Science at the University of Rhode Island in 2014. He then spent the following year working as a rehab aide at Mass General Hospital West in Boston, MA prior to returning to the University of Rhode Island to earn his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2018. Sam is a former Division I College Football player, who was also recruited to play collegiate basketball and soccer. Sam has experience treating all orthopedic conditions with specialties in sports medicine, post-operative care, complex pain conditions, vestibular disorders, and post-concussion related injury. He takes pride in promoting patient independence through highly skilled manual therapy and exercise prescription to help alleviate pain, optimize function, and return to peak performance both on and off the field.
Prior to moving to Colorado, Sam was instrumental in the development of a Return to Sport Program during his time treating athletes in Massachusetts. He has presented various sport-specific injury prevention programs to a number of high school and club sports teams. Sam has a true passion for treating injured athletes through individualized programming tailored to specific sport and positional demands. Sam is a huge Boston sports fan who enjoys playing basketball, weight lifting, skiing, hiking, and spending time with friends and family in his spare time.
